Social Media Vs Real Life

The lives we live in real life and the lives we portray to others can be very different and this can lead to bad habits down the line.
You should always stay true to who you are and try to keep your image consistent. This will allow the friends who know you in real life to respect you and those who only see you online in pictures and those who judge you by the way you tweet to truly know the real you. The version they are seeing is representative of you and what you’re about.
If you go down the path of having two different images, then this will lead to your friends not respecting you and even backbiting about you. Let me give you an example. Let’s say that you wear relatively modest clothing and cheap clothes for your friends and in real life in general. On social media, however, you flaunt and show off and wear all these expensive clothes. For one, your friends are going to talk behind your back and say that the stuff you are flaunting is fake and two, they will lose respect for you because they know that the image you are portraying to your audience on the internet is not the real you.
You should also ensure that you find the balance between social media and real life. An imbalance can cause depression and anxiety and can cause you to become distant from your friends and family. If you have an online business, then of course social media will be a big part of your life but don’t let it consume you. When you have meals with your family, put your phone away and be present. Engage in conversation!
Go to the park to play some sports or ride some bikes. I know that unless it’s a trend, this generation is unlikely to go out and have fun. However, I implore you to do so because this will ensure that you stay fit and healthy and that your mind gets a rest from whatever it needs to. There are proven studies which show that looking at your phone all day can prove to be detrimental to your health.
My overall message is to stay true to who you are. Whoever you are on the inside, show that to both your friends and family and to your online audience. Find the balance between social media and real life. Live life to the fullest and enjoy every second of it!

100%, that’s what we as content creators yearn for; the enjoyment of others. So as you say, we as a community need to be supportive of each other
Great post!
Thanks! 😊✌️🤗
Most people like to like to impress complete strangers while others want your sympathy. I am the same on my blog as I am in real life. Great post
You’re absolutely right, that is definitely the case. I’m glad that you’re the same, it’s refreshing to hear
Nice post

Most welcome
good insights here, Kamran ! Kind replies from your viewers, as well. Thanks for visiting my sight, too! My other sight at mathematical-signs-of-god.com is slightly better, the images are bigger.
Thank you very much for your kind words 😊! No problem, I always support those who support me and follow my work. I will check it out 😏

I’m an old guy, who has been himself all these years. A false image on social media is not a concern for me. I use the Bumba moniker on the blog, though, and keep my private life to myself. Being true to one’s self requires some courage.
It’s good to hear that you’ve been yourself, good on you buddy! 🤗👍
A good reminder to always keep it real! Txx
I’m always about keeping it real 💯💯
Hell
I say stay away altogether 🤦🏾♂️
I do get that viewpoint but it can have its benefits if you utilise it correctly
Oh yes, not arguing against that. It can be extremely helpful!
I reconnected with my family through social media, after being apart for over 10 years.
Definitely can be and oh wow, that is probably the best thing I’ve heard around social media 👌👌👌
Nice tips.
Thank you very much 😊
Great post- it’s important to stay true to who you are.
100%! Always be yourself and you will love your life
😊
So true
I’m glad you agree! Thank you for coming across my blog ☺
So true and full of common sense really, but how many people are willing to apply this 😂
Yeah, you’re right. Especially in this generation, it’s very hard to convince them on applying these techniques in order for them to succeed in their education
True…..😊
Thank you for coming across my blog post and commenting. Have a great day! 😊
😊
Loved this!
I appreciate that buddy
Great points. I recently got off of Facebook and Instagram. Why? So I would connect more with my family. Right on.
I do not blame you. We should all take a break here and there just to focus on the important things in life.
I appreciate this
Very good advice, badly needed.
