Age Is Just A Number
Your age does not define your maturity nor does it define your work ethic. People always say that the youth have more energy than people who are older. This is not always the case and you should never let your age affect your work. Always stay in tip top shape so that your age never stops you from doing what you want to do.
Universities is a great example of the fact that age is just a number. On your course, you will most likely see people around the age of 18-23. However, you will probably notice a few people who are not in this age bracket. You may have a person who is 50+ years old studying on the same course you are. This does not mean they are behind in life or you’re doing better than them. They may just want to take part in a course which they love. Always strive to make them feel comfortable because chances are that they may feel awkward being the oldest amongst so many young people.
Jobs are also a place where you will see a broad range of ages. Again, do not judge and do not think that you are better or worse off than your colleague. Instead, create a positive environment and just get to know your work colleagues. This will make work enjoyable! Your mentality and your mindset towards people of different ages speaks a lot of volumes. Do you immediately judge when you see someone who is older or younger than you?
Ensure that you are taking care of everyone you come in contact with, no matter what their age is. A simple hello or a smile goes a long way!
