Put Yourself First

Put Yourself First Picture
Your happiness is the most important thing so always put yourself in the best position to do this!

One thing which is very hard to do is to say no whether that be to your friends or to your colleagues or even to your parents. This is something you need to do in order to be more productive and to be more efficient with your time. If you say yes to everything, you will have less time to do what you need to do in order to grow as an individual. I always review my timeline when someone asks me to do something. Do I have time to do this? Is it important or can it be done at a later date? Always prioritise your work and put yourself first.

Expectations are your worst enemy. Do not expect anything and life will be a whole lot better. How many times have you gone into doing something with the expectation that it is not going to take long and it takes a very long time to complete? Now, imagine if you had removed that expectation. The time taken to do the job would have been the exact same but the positive with removing expectations is that you would not have been stressed about how long it was taking.

Your mental and physical health are very important and it should be something you are thinking about daily. Are you in a good mental state? How is your physical health? Are you doing everything you can do to improve both of these? Have a structure and a routine so that you are capable of completing any task to the best of your ability.

Always put yourself first above anything else and life will be a whole lot easier and a lot more fulfilling. You will find yourself being much more productive when you take away worldly distractions.

  1. Hello and thank you for the confirmation message on today my friend just told me I need to start saying no and do the things that I enjoy to do oh, because he noticed that I hadn’t been writing lately something I love to do.

  2. Some solid points however I believe we all have stories from our lives. When we use a story to illustrate a lesson or idea, i think those lessons or ideas better connect.
For example when my Dad let start cutting the grass he told me a story about someone who wore sandals, not solid boots and suffered a horrible injury. To this day i remember and wear decent shoes and am extra careful with a power mower and that story was decades ago.

  3. Great advise! I need to learn to say no more, for the sake of being more organized with my time. However, putting myself first I find a very difficult thing to do. As a wife and a mother, I tend to put everyone else first & take very little time for myself. You’ve given me inspiration though, as I really do need to take better care of myself. Thank you for the reminder! May God bless you☺️

      • No worries Kamran, we all have lives apart from social media, and that is reality. Don’t feel guilty that time has passed, you’re very thoughtful to respond. Hope you have a great weekend too! ☺️

      • That is very true, in an ideal world, I would dedicate my life to blogging and building a community but like you said, life gets in the way.

        How was your weekend??

      • You’re so kind Kamran, thank you for asking, this has been a good weekend. Sunday is just ending here, so enjoying the last moments before bed. Take care, hope to be reading more from you soon! God bless😊

      • I’m glad to hear that πŸ€—πŸ€—

Next post should be up tomorrow. To have an input on my blog posts for the future, follow my insta @kamranhussain5076 because I will be putting all my future blog posts down to a vote and in the hands of my readers

      • Do you think it will give a better response on the WordPress blog? Have you known others who are doing this? I’m just wondering, as I am trying to increase followers. Right now I’m working on a piece to post too. I know I’ve got to post a lot more writing to obtain more follow & activities. Open to any advise you may have. God bless you my friendπŸ™‚

      • So what I would say is to first put out as much content as you can and be very consistent. So if you look at the history of my blog, I have been doing this since March I believe and I have been very consistent. Then start linking to other social media when the followers come in. My new Instagram page is called top_education_hub so go check that out when you can. If you need any more advice, please let me know

  4. Such important advice! It’s so easy to not self-care, and I find expectations create not only disappointment, but also limitations – the universe can do so much better than our puny imaginations, and by holding expectations, we miss seeing other opportunities. Thank you for this reminder!

    • Yes I completely agree but if we adopt this mentality and remind ourselves every day, it should become easier and it will soon be second nature

    • Heey thank you sooo much for the nomination, I have just read the post and I absolutely loved your answers and I highly appreciate you for nominating me πŸ™πŸ™

I do want my blog to be inspiring and empowering and to help people so I won’t be uploading the award post because I don’t want my blog filled with award posts. But I do sincerely appreciate you πŸ™

  5. I agree with everything you said and you said it well. I do have two alternate points of view. You say your happiness is the most important thing. I have found that to make my own happiness my priority is a recipe for disappointment. Instead, I seek meaning and connection. That gives a feeling of peace and fulfillment, not necessarily happiness. What you said about not having expectations is good advice most of the time. But with relationships, I do have expectations. I expect to be treated with respect. I expect support when I need it emotionally. I expect honesty. And it goes both ways.

    • Thank you for the kind words 😊

Those two points are very good and I agree with both. I appreciate you taking the time to read and comment on my blog post.
