Use Failure As Inspiration

There are many people who have failed. Use these examples as inspiration for you to do whatever you want to do in life!
There are many people who have failed. Use these examples as inspiration for you to do whatever you want to do in life!

It is very easy to see people who are now successful and to think they had it easy in life. To think that they never overcame obstacles and they never had adversity in their life on their path to success. In this post, I will remind you of those successful people who have had to overcome some extremely difficult times in order to get to the position they are in now.

Albert Einstein

A very famous figure and is seen as one of the most intelligence minds in the history of mankind. However, he had a huge obstacle to overcome before becoming this intelligent man. He didn’t begin speaking until he was four years old. Everyone around him thought he was mentally challenged and believed him to be an idiot. If you had known Albert Einstein when he was young, you would never think he would be famous for decades after his death and not just famous but you would never in a million years think that his name would be synonymous with intelligence.

J K Rowling

For me, the most famous author of all time. For others, a famous figure in the writing world. Life was definitely not easy for J K Rowling and she deserves everything she has right now. She was a single mother and had no job. She was living off benefits and looked like she had nothing to show for her life. One thing she did have was a passion for writing. This is one thing she never let escape her grasp. When her daughter was asleep, she would write. She had some chapters and had decided to send these pieces to a publisher. She was rejected. She sent her chapters to 12 different publishers and all of them rejected her. She then decided to try for one last publisher. This publisher agreed to publish her novel. Had she had given up after the first failure or even the twelfth failure, she would not have become successful and who knows what would have happened? Don’t let hurdles in your life stop you from chasing your dreams!

Michael Jordan

The most famous basketball player of all time and someone whose stats speak for themselves. If you speak to Michael Jordan, he will tell you all about his failures and will put them on display. Why? Because he knows that it is because of his failures that he has managed to reach the top of the sport. He was cut from his high school basketball teams. This is enough for most people to quit pursuing basketball and to focus on another career path. However, Michael Jordan is not most people. He continued following his passion. He has a very famous quote which displays how important it is to fail to reach success; “I have missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I have lost almost 300 games. On 26 occasions I have been entrusted to take the game winning shot, and I missed. I have failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”

These are three examples of famous figures who have failed publicly in life and in their respective careers but they still remain to be seen as hugely successful individuals. The life lesson to take home in this post is to embrace failure. Let me know in the comments below of other famous figures who have failed and who you use as inspiration.

◇ I Enjoy “Failing” and Being a “Failure” EveryOne; it’s Crystal Clear Clarity that “Success is Suicide” ~ ‘Lost+’, Coldplay…such suicides as Dean Martin, Whitney Houston, River Phoenix, Anthony Bourdain, Amy Winehouse, Robin Williams et al; so, be careful what You Wish For You May Just Get It

      • You bet. I am saddened by the loss of quality in our print newspapers, they used to have great sports sections and journalist, and they covered every game, and they would run quotes from the players, both the winners and those who lost. And these quotes from the players, taken right after the game, would be profound, and could be applied to life, not just the game. I especially liked hearing what the players who lost said. They were deeper in thought than the famous philosophers, I feel. Now, with the streamlined computer news, and the depleted print newspapers ( depleted on purpose, I believe) we do not see the detailed and information-filled sports pages anymore, we do not get a chance to hear these empowering philosophies from the sports players. Thanks, Kamran for your platforms of discussion.

      • Yeahh my family talk fondly of those. I believe I am too young for those newspapers but I do see of them in some TV shows. From your description, it sounds amazing and a vibe. You are very welcome, I shall write a new blog post tomorrow, hope to see you in the likes and comments section 😊😉

  2. The people who really disturbed are the ones who never recognize they ever had failure in their life and lie to cover up for their own deficiencies – ie. Trump

  3. Thanks for this great reminder to never give up, Kamran. It is true, so many who have become successful, have had to push through many failures and obstacles, in order to have a breakthrough. We must never give up!

  5. Such an important message! I’m reading How To Win Friends And Influence People by Dale Carnegie. It’s full of famous people who overcame obstacles to achieve what they did in life. All of us must take inspiration from such stories.

    • Yes it definitely is. Oh wow that’s exactly what I describe in this post. We must understand that the famous and successful people got to where they are after a really hard journey and by overcoming obstacles in their life.
