Stop Overthinking!

Overthinking will kill a lot of dreams and is something which we should refrain from at all times.
Overthinking will kill a lot of dreams and is something which we should refrain from at all times.

It is a natural human emotion to think. We think when evaluating a situation or when making a decision which is needed. However, overthinking will definitely lead you down a pothole where you can’t get out of your own head.

Overthinking is something which is mentally draining. It puts you in a mindset where if you don’t act right away, then your life will be ruined. You will play out all the negative scenarios which you think will happen without ever thinking about the positives. Overthinking creeps into our lives even for the smallest of moments. You could be overthinking about a presentation you have coming up or it could be exams or perhaps even about how your life is playing out generally.

Just remember to play out the positives. Okay, yes this might go wrong but what if it goes right? What if all the preparation you did works out? It’s human nature to be critical of ourselves but re-wire your brain. Change the way you think and just watch how much more enjoyable life becomes.

  1. Love the article because once we change our thinking everything else changes with it. The word of God says be not conformed to the things of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind

  2. Well said kamran.

Overthinking stalls all creativity and action, leading to stagnation and depression.

What is the solution to overthinking? Just telling them ‘Don’t’ serves no purpose, because these people need help. But how?
